★愛滋防治組織RED HOT繼《Dark Was The Night》後再與4AD合作公益合輯
★The National成員主導策劃歷時四年錄音打造總長近五個半小時致敬作品
★The Flaming Lips、Wilco、Courtney Barnett等超過60組音樂單位共同參
這套由The National的雙胞胎兄弟檔Aaron Dessner和Bryce Dessner所策劃監製的超級合輯，共花費四年的時間錄音，徵招超過60組音樂單位，透過向六零年代加州嬉皮/迷幻/鄉村搖滾代表樂團Grateful Dead的歌曲或他們演唱過的傳統歌謠進行翻唱致敬。同樣為持續關注愛滋問題，收益將全數捐給長期對抗AIDS/ HIV的慈善組織Red Hot，同時也是此組織第20張的公益專輯。
歌曲多為Jerry Garcia和Robert Hunter所主導時期的創作，而2016年剛發行新作品的Bob Weir於輯末有各別與Wilco及The National共同演出的live錄音。即興延伸味十足的〈Dark Star〉分別收錄了Cass McCombs與The Flaming Lips的兩種版本，前者將原本長篇的編曲小品化，後者有著充滿黑暗的dub曲式，隨著bass line沉穩低空飄浮。而由Ira Kaplan來翻玩敘事風格強烈的〈Wharf Rat〉實在適合不過，美得過分卻令人不安，這首歌若現身在Yo La Tengo自己的《And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside-Out》或是《Painful》專輯內，一點也不會感到突兀。
其中不乏令人驚喜之誇刀合作：〈Box of Rain〉中J Mascis為Kurt Vile獻藝招牌流暢的吉他solo與合聲；由Mike Hadreas化身Perfume Genius與唱作女伶Sharon Van Etten的〈To Lay Me Down〉聽來同樣脆弱又殘酷；而Lee Ranaldo偕同愛爾蘭女歌手Lisa Hannigan共演的〈Mountains of the Moon〉頗顯荒涼。長達將近17分鐘，由Grizzly Bear、Takka Takka、The National、So Percussion等團員相互串場的組曲〈Terrapin Station〉，更是徹底實踐了Grateful Dead的現場長篇前衛精髓。
